The two following cases have occurred in
which the Hongkong creditor may be liable to the fine:-
(1) Claim No.760001. The Hongkong creditor, when he made his claim, was unaware that the German debtor had a
cross claim as he had not received the last account from Germany sent off shortly before the war. He admite the set off claimed.
(2) Claim No.760015. The Hongkong creditors knew that the debtor company was going into liquidation, but they did not know what the dividend would be when they made their claim. It turns out to be just over 18 per cent, and their claim is therefore rejected for the balance.
